The Wahoo-50 is Geomil’s latest and most compact seabed Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) system, successfully introduced at the Oceanology International 2026 exhibition and conference in London.
The Wahoo-50 is Geomil’s most compact seabed Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) system, purpose-built for applications such as cable routing, pipelines, trenching and mooring installations. Built around the renowned Continuous Drive System, it delivers a net thrust capacity of 50 kN achieving penetration depths of up to 10 m below the seabed. Hydraulic supply and data transmission are handled via a manually operated floating umbilical,
suitable for operations in water depths of up to 100 m.
The system has a base mass of 1900 kg, with the option to add three additional ballast plates of 1400 kg each. With a base operational height of 1.77 m and a
footprint of just 1.5 x 1.5 m, the Wahoo-50 is compatible with nearly any vessel and hoisting facility.
