Geomil is excited to announce an enhanced cooperation with Apageo. We are now the exclusive partner for Apageo’s line of products in Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand.  Apageo is the world leader in Ménard Pressuremeter (PMT) manufacturing, with a legacy dating back to 1984 as the successor to Techniques Louis Ménard. Apageo sets the global standard for PMT technology as well as drilling solutions.

The PMT is a controlled stress loading test performed in situ, on the wall of a pre-bored hole using a radially expanding cylindrical probe. It delivers a stress-strain curve with three key parameters:

• Ménard Pressuremeter Modulus (Em)
• Creep Pressure (Pf)
• Ménard Limit Pressure (Pl)

From these, you can estimate critical geotechnical properties:

• Deformability modulus
• Undrained shear strength in clays (Su)
• Internal friction angle in sands (φ')
• In-situ horizontal stress
