Belgian harbour project

Blankenberge, Belgium - Recently one of our Panthers at Group van Vooren, Labo Devlieger - van Vooren has been conducting cone penetration tests as part of a wider harbour project in Blankenberge, Belgium. The project which aims to replace and stabilize the harbour quay walls provided some unique project moments for the team. CPT was implemented to a 20 metre depth and only performed at low-tide. The 6 metre drop below street level meant that the crawler had to be ballasted by 10 tons as the slabs below were too weak to take the weight of the crawler.
