Seminar April 2016

Geomil College – Seminar on the practical use of Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) equipment

Our latest seminar held in April was again a great success. The participants from all over the world took an active part, learned a lot and also enjoyed their time at the Geomil Equipment head office in Moordrecht, The Netherlands.  The subjects addressed included the CPT technology, operations and applications, data acquisition and processing. It also featured a rather cold but informative field test.

Special thanks to Kees-Jan van der Made from Wiertsema & Partners (www.wiertsema.nl) for the engineering point of view and Guido Hartkamp and Jan-Willem Boer from Veldwerkbureau (www.vwb.nl) for their support of the practical side of the seminar.

Participant’s evaluation

“The Geomil course was very useful as a reminder to the practical use of CPT equipment and reinforcing many aspects of cone preparation to ensure accurate and repeatable test results.  The course provided a good insight into the Geomil philosophy to cone and software design and the opportunity to meet and discuss CPT testing with practitioners from different countries.”
