Boomer hitch up system

Need to conduct CPT's under impossible circumstances? No ballasted unit fits, no anchoring possible? But you have an excavator at hand. Then the Boomer hitch up system brings you further, guarantees for getting the project done.

The Boomer provides a solid steel platform of customised dimensions and able for being fork lifted. It comes with either a customised twin ram pusher mounted (up to 200 kN) or locking facilities to utilise a detachable MPP 150 twin ram unit.

Next to the pusher a heavy duty excavator hitch (for CAT 320 or other) is firmly mounted, allowing to hitch up the unit for positioning on any spot that can be reached by the excavator boom. As such, the unit can be placed above, below or next to the excavator, making embankment, dam, slope, quay wall, nearshore shallow water and plenty other operations possible (see pictures for impressions).

The deadweight of the Boomer (approx. 2 tonnes) plus the down force capability of the deployed excavator (5 tonnes plus, also depending on the boomed distance) determine the reaction force that can be achieved.

One or two people find sufficient working space on the Boomer, secured by a modular, detachable safety fence. The Geomil tube rack with swivel supports (standard 9x 5 m tubes), valve handles for pusher control as well as the weather protection box for DAC and PC are within comfortable reach.

Hydraulic power for the twin rams can be taken from the excavator system or, when necessary, from a standard Geomil powerpack. For the latter, a Boomer extension platform can be customised.

Since the utilisation possibilities as well as the respective project constraints are manifold, Geomil offers a wide range of customised Boomer designs and optional extensions.
