GeoMil Dutch Cone Penetrometers Pushers

GeoMil Equipment designs, manufactures, sells and services hydraulic penetrometer pushers for CPT and related static sounding methods, ranging from 50kN to more than 200kN. The units are constructed as fully ballasted high performance all terrain trucks or cabin crawlers or units to be anchored such as light weight crawlers or the new modular trailer concept.

Alternatively and designed for more flexible deployment, various stand alone units are available. Either anchored or mounted to a firm and ballasted stable base, they cover the common range of pushing loads and can also be used for educational purposes, starter kits or special project requirements.

The design of all GeoMil penetrometer pushers is focussed on high productions rates and economic utilisation.
All penetrometer pushers come with hydraulically actuated twin rams and are designed for all static soundings, such as Cone Penetration Tests (CPT), with or without cable, seismic CPT, shear vane tester, sampling, Dilatometer tests and other static as well as direct push methods.

Especially for near shore or shallow water CPT operations of up to 30m water depths the 200kN stand alone penetrometer pusher with integrated catching clamp has become a very reliable and economical unit, easily mounted and utilised on barges or jack-up platforms.

Any decision for the investment into penetrometer pushing equipment, either as completly equipped CPT sounding units or just individual components, should be based on sever operational, technical and economical considerations.

Investing in rather cost intensive fully ballasted units demands a predictable working to capacity in areas where this kind of equipment can be deployed in a feasible way. On the other hand a small 100kN trolley mounted pusher provides a high flexibilty at low investment costs, but is the pushing capacity sufficient for your projects and doesn´t the anchoring procedure consume too much valuable time?
